The current packages target Windows x64, Linux amd64 and macOS arm64. They provide an installer demonstration, not an implemented Aptos engine. Support for FA, DA, AIP-62 and live signing belongs to future development and verification. The report’s old app-store release dates do not describe the desktop project.
TransactionsWhy do I need APT to send another token?
APT normally pays the Aptos network fee even when you transfer another asset. Keep a small APT reserve for execution and storage costs. A transaction that is committed but aborts can still consume gas. Sponsored transactions must be explicitly supported; they should not be assumed.
SecurityDoes transaction simulation guarantee a safe transaction?
No. Simulation previews execution against a recent network state. It can reveal expected balance changes and likely failures, but state, liquidity and prices can change. A simulation also depends on the wallet correctly interpreting the asset and contract effects.
Getting startedWill uninstalling Rise delete my assets?
The current desktop preview does not manage on-chain assets or store account keys. In an operational self-custody wallet, removing the application does not remove assets from the ledger, but recovery depends on the correct backup and authentication state. This general principle is explained in the research guide.
AssetsWhy is an asset missing from my portfolio?
Check the selected network and full account address, then compare against an independent Aptos explorer. Indexer delay, unsupported FA or DA standards, paired Coin/FA migration and missing metadata can hide assets without changing on-chain ownership. Do not send your recovery phrase to a token-discovery website.
TransactionsCan support reverse a transfer?
Rise cannot unilaterally reverse a transaction committed by Aptos. Check the recipient, network and exact asset before signing, and use a small test transfer. Retain the public transaction hash if you need to investigate a transfer.
CompatibilityWhy does a dApp not show Rise in its wallet list?
The supplied desktop preview does not expose a live dApp connection API. Modern Aptos applications use AIP-62; the historical window.rise interface in the report is not provided by this desktop backend. dApp connectivity is a future implementation area.
AssetsAre native USDC and bridged USDC interchangeable?
No. Native Aptos USDC is issued by Circle. A bridged version such as lzUSDC has a different canonical identifier and bridge exposure. Confirm the issuer, representation, network and destination support before transferring or swapping.
SecurityCan I recover an account after key rotation?
The permanent Aptos address can remain unchanged after its authentication key rotates. The original phrase may derive the expected address while no longer having signing authority. Recovery must account for the current authentication key and the rotation record.
DesktopWhich desktop platforms are available?
The supplied version 4.2.1.1 has three primary packages: a Windows x64 EXE, a Linux amd64 standalone installer and a macOS arm64 DMG for Apple Silicon. Each download has its exact size and a SHA-256 checksum. An Intel Mac build is not currently supplied.
